Jennifer R Ivey, MPA, MPM, SSGB – Founder/ Board President


Jennifer R. Ivey, an authentic Georgia Peach, was born and raised in the metro-Atlanta area. She is the
proud mother of three beautiful children. Ms. Ivey is the alumna of Auburn University in Auburn, AL.
During her time at Auburn, she was successful in obtaining her Bachelor of Science Degree in Zoology.
Always with the mind to excel, she furthered her education by obtaining her Master’s Degree in both
Public Administration and Project Management from Keller Graduate School of Management.
Ms. Ivey is also the Founder/CEO of C&J Consulting Firm, LLC which focuses on helping small
business become more efficient and effective in their daily operations. Ms. Ivey’s impressive professional
portfolio also includes managing a private multimillion-dollar mental health agency in Decatur, GA. Over
the years, Ms. Ivey has always had a passion to help her community. An active member of her church, she
has always volunteered her time to those in need. Some of her volunteer activities include

 

  • Serving as PTSA President for the New Life Christian Academy of Achievers in Decatur, GA.

  • Board Treasurer/ CFO for Magnolia Behavior Health in Tucker, GA

  • Assistant Ministry Leader for the New Direction Mentoring Ministry of New Life Church in Decatur, GA

  • Conducting monthly activities with senior residents at Golden Living Rehab Center in TuckGA.

Heart 4 the People Inc, was birthed as a result of Ms. Ivey’s belief that we are mandated by God to serve
our brothers and sisters. Witnessing the plight of our youth and the disenfranchisement of our seniors, she
set forth on the journey to do her part the change the community around her.

Rodney P. Boyd – Board Treasurer

 


Rodney Boyd, a native of High Point, North Carolina, has called Georgia his home for the past 13 years.
He is the proud father of a beautiful daughter, who recently graduated from University of North Carolina
of Greensboro. Mr. Boyd is an advent community leader, as a member of the finance committee for
Tabernacle of Praise International Church (TOPIC) in McDonough, has a true heart to serve. Also, he
serves a deacon at Tabernacle of Praise.


Mr. Boyd is the co-owner and founder of Barton & Boyd Tax Services. Barton & Boyd services GA and
NC yearly providing superb quality customer service. Always having a love for numbers, Mr. Boyd has
worked tirelessly to help small business and self-employed individuals navigate the ever changing and
sometimes confusing tax laws. Through his platform, he works to educate our community to make better
choices when it comes to one’s finances.


When Mr. Boyd is not busy crunching numbers he is participating in his favorite past-time, cars. His love
of cars includes fixing, tinkering old cars, and attending showcases of exotic cars. He also enjoys sports.
His favorite team is the Dallas Cowboys.

When asked why he agreed to join Heart 4 the People, he shared that there is a tremendous need in our
community to help people become the best they can be and Heart 4 the People is working to improve just
that. He feels that his financial background and his love of serving makes him a great fit for this amazing
organization. He believes being a part of this organization God can use him to help change people’s lives
through life skill teaching and help people become their best selves.

Star Wysinger – Board Secretary


Star Wysinger tries to live up to her name by being a superstar. Hailing from Decatur, Georgia, Mrs.
Wysinger is a dedicated sports mom to her two sons and a loving wife to her wonderful supportive
husband. She is a veteran Compensation and Benefits professional with over 10 years’ experience. Mrs.
Wysinger has been employed by some of Atlanta’s top employers, including Georgia World Congress
Center Authority and Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport (the world’s busiest airport). No
stranger to serving the community, Mrs. Wysinger also works with Room to Read a non-profit based out
San Francisco, California.


“Many hands make light work”, an African proverb, are words that Mrs. Wysinger has chosen to live by.
She learned early in life that real purpose is truly helping others. Star Wysinger accepted the invite to sit
on the board for Heart 4 the People because she believes in its mission to serve the community.

Catherine B Hampton, BSN, RN, MNA – Board Member


Catherine B. Hampton, a native of Fort Lauderdale, FL, is the 2 nd oldest of 11 children. She is the
loving wife of her husband of 46 years and the proud mother to her only daughter and 3
grandchildren. She began her educational career at the infamous Florida A&M University in
Tallahassee, FL where she received her Bachelor of Science in Nursing Degree. Believing that
education is important she furthered her educational journey locally by attending Emory
University where she was a part of the first graduating class of the Masters of Nursing
Administration Program.


Mrs. Hampton has been blessed to work in her field of study her entire impressive career. She
has been a practicing registered nurse in some of the most prestigious hospitals in Atlanta, GA.
Some of those include working in the ICU Department of Grady Hospital, one of the leading
level 1 trauma centers in the country, and Emory University, top teaching facilities in the nation,
as a researcher. Her final move was to join the nursing team at Fulton County Public Health
Department. She served as facility Nursing manager for one of Fulton counties largest centers.
Also, she was a Team Leader for the Disaster Readiness Division in Fulton County. Having
worked 30 years for Fulton County, Mrs. Hampton retired from nursing in 2015.


In her free time, Mrs. Hampton cooks. While busy being a nurse, she found time to cater events
on the side. Her love for cooking has been the delight of many in the community. Also, she has

the gift of a green thumb. She manages an impressive array of plants that she enjoys in her free
time.


When asked to join Heart 4 the People, she was all too eager. Having dedicated her life to caring
for others, she understands the importance of teaching our youth the art of empathy. She is
confident that her life experiences, skills, and connections will help her be a valuable asset to
move Heart 4 the People in the direction God has directed.

Andrew C. Barnes, BA – Board Member

 


Andrew Barnes, a civil servant, is a decorated Firefighter/EMT for DeKalb County, a suburb in
the Metro-Atlanta area in Georgia. Having been born and raised in the wonderful city of Atlanta,
Georgia, Mr. Barnes is the father of 2 young adults and grandfather to two beautiful little girls.


He obtained his BA with a concentration in Marketing Management from Georgia State
University. Through the state of Georgia, he also received both his certification in Emergency
Medicine and tax professional license. Being the consummate entrepreneur, Mr. Barnes
maintains many roles in successful businesses in the community. Currently, he is the owner of
Standmont Group, LLC and Senior Member of The Zetddie Group, INC.


During his free time, Mr. Barnes finds time to indulge in the field of photography. He also enjoys
cooking, tinkering with things, networking, and all forms of art. In between a busy and
rewarding schedule, Mr.
 Barnes travels statewide and abroad.


When asked to sign on the be a board member, Mr. Barnes was all to willing. His reason for
joining Heart 4 the People was to witness a vision turn into life. Being a child-hood friend of the
founder, Mr. Barnes wanted to be a part of the organization’s success, but more importantly he
believes in the organization’s ability to affect lives for better.
